Norma Lausmann began skiing at the age of 17 but didn’t start racing with the USSA Masters until she was 48. She has raced actively for over 35 years! Her bubbly spirit, love for the mountains and undeniable seamstress skills made her "physically" stand out from the crowd.
“This is Norma [. . .] the Queen of Class 10. You can make her out there in the starting gate in her amanita speed suit - red with white polka dots.” - Ski Magazine 1998Norma has an amazing collection of ski racing suits in her closet but her favorite was black with neon pink polka dots.
“It’s my lucky suit! I always won in that suit.” - Norma
The race was exhilarating but the friendship is what made this trio of friends continue racing into their early 80’s.
Today, Racysuits is a combination of Norma's design for ski suits and a modified "skinny leg" version for those who don't intend to wear the suits on the ski slopes. You can select which leg option you want when you create a suit.
